This is the complete footage of the demonstration by Guro Dan Inosanto at the Smithsonian Museum for the Filipino American History Month, which occurred on October 27th, 2010.

In this video Guro Dan talks history of the Filipino Martial Arts, various weapons configurations of Kali (stick, knife etc.) as well as the use of the sarong. He also demonstrates empty handed material (panantukan).

This video also features about 30 mintues of a “Question and Answers” session with Guro Dan and the other guests during this event.

Guro Dan Inosanto probably does not need an introduction, but for those who are not familiar with him he is probably best known for being the late Bruce Lee’s right hand man and training partner. He is also one of three individuals who received an instructor certificate from Bruce Lee. He was also a black belt and an instructor under the late Ed Parker, the founder of the American Kenpo Karate system.

Guro Dan is recognized as one of the foremost experts on Filipino Martial Arts and other South-East Asian martial arts, and is also well-respected for his open minded approach to studying martial arts.

Hope you enjoy this video.
