Grand master Ip Ching was born in 1936 and is the youngest son of legendary master of Wing Chun Gung Fu, Ip Man.

He is Ip Man’s 2nd son, his older brother being master Ip Chun.

While he was introduced to Wing Chun at an early age, it was not until 1962 when he became reunited with his father and resumed his training under his father’s watchful eye.

He assisted his father in teaching Wing Chun until Ip Man’s death on December 2nd, 1972.

In the video clip above, which is part of a larger documentary on Wing Chun by Empty Mind Films, Master Ip Ching talks about how his father, Ip Man, started teaching Wing Chun in Hong Kong.
